Who we are

Strato-Altus (“we”, “us”) is a hiking challenge tracker for New England peaks, waterfalls, and trails. The Android app, the web app at app.strato-altus.com, and this site are operated by the Strato-Altus project. Contact: privacy@strato-altus.com.

Information we collect

We do not request access to your Google contacts, phone numbers, calendar, or files beyond the ID token used to sign you in.

How we use information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your hike data for advertising.

Sharing

Other signed-in hikers may see your username, display name, and content you make visible (for example contest photos or a public profile). Infrastructure is hosted on Cloudflare (Workers, D1, and object storage for photos). Google processes sign-in when you choose “Continue with Google.” If you buy Premium, RevenueCat receives your Strato-Altus account ID to track the subscription across Android and the web, and Google Play or Stripe processes the payment. We do not share your data with other third parties except as required by law or to protect the service and its users.

Retention and deletion

We keep your account and hike data while your account is active. You can delete your account in Settings; that removes your profile, hike logs, friend links, and contest entries associated with the account. Backups and security logs may retain limited records for a short period after deletion.

Children

Strato-Altus is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
